Haiti National Trust and CIAT Visit Belize on Conservation Study Tour

Last week, our Executive Director, Anne-Isabelle Bonifassi and a member of the Haitian Government (CIAT) Ned Charles, visited Belize on a study tour facilitated by our partner Re:Wild, to engage, exchange and learn more from best conservation practices. This visit offered a first-hand glimpse of the exciting work that many organizations do in natural resources management. It also provided an opportunity to listen to different perspectives on how protected areas are managed in other parts of the Caribbean.

Executive Director of Haiti National Trust, Anne-Isabelle Bonifassi was amazed by the hospitality shown, the important work that’s being done in Belize and expressed that this visit reassured that there is still hope for protected areas and the environment in general in Haiti, but we must act now!
